Tesla Releases FSD V14.1.2, Now Smarter In Handling The Situation On The Road And There Is "Mad Max" Mode
JAKARTA Today's official Testa launched a version of the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software update v14.1.2, bringing a huge improvement in autonomous driving capabilities, especially in terms of security, navigation, and comfort.
In this update, users can now choose the parking destination location more specifically, such as in public parking lots, roadsides, garages, to the front of the house. This new feature provides additional flexibility for drivers to determine the end point of the trip more accurately.
Tesla also added the ability to pull over or make way for emergency vehicles such as police cars, fire engines, and ambulances. In addition, the navigation system is now better integrated with vision-based neural networks to handle closed road conditions or alternative routes in real time.
Other updates include an increase in additional speed profiles that can be adjusted to the user's driving style, as well as an increase in responses to road hurdles such as tires, tree branches, or boxes that block the track.
Several driving scenarios were also improved, including in the face of unprotected turns, lane switching, cutting-off vehicles, and school buses. FSD is now also more reliable in restoring the system from operational disruptions, ensuring a smoother and safer driving experience.
Interestingly, Tesla is also adding a front camera automatic cleaning feature with a high-speed narrow spraying system to maintain the clarity of the sensor's views, as well as a warning to build up residuals on the inside windshield that could interfere with camera visibility.
In its official note, Tesla said that the next update will focus on improving maneuvering fines and parking quality, in order to bring the FSD system's capabilities closer to a more natural and humane level of autonomy.

Based on the official post from today's @Teslarati X account, this update offers a more aggressive and dynamic autonomous driving experience. This mode allows Tesla vehicles to adjust speed and maneuver based on driver preferences, speed limits, and traffic conditions, making it one of the latest breakthroughs in automotive AI technology.
"Mad Max" mode is one of the latest rapidity profile options in Full Self-Driving (FSD) v14.1.2. This name appears to be inspired by the dystopia film franchise "Mad Max", which describes the world with both wild and aggressive driving styles. This mode is designed to provide a very dynamic and daring autonomous driving experience, where vehicles can perform maneuvers such as rapid lane changes and aggressive acceleration according to driver preferences, speed limits, and ambient traffic conditions.
The way the technology works utilizes advanced artificial intelligence that is integrated in the FSD system, which is now able to assess the situation in real-time based on data from vehicle sensors, cameras, and inter-vehicle-to-flat. According to records, the system not only follows the standard speed limit, but also adjusts the driving force based on "mix of driver profile, speed limit, and surrounding traffic. That is, if you choose Mad Max, the vehicle will tend to maximize the speed and responsiveness within the limits permitted by AI, for example with a more assertive overtake or maintaining a higher rate on the expressway, provided it is safe and legal.
