Coordinating Ministry For Human Development And Culture Collaborates With Microsoft, Encourages Adoption Of AI-Based Public Services

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) collaborates with Microsoft Indonesia and BINAR, to realize the important role of public leadership in dealing with the era of artificial intelligence (AI).

Through the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Leadership Workshop (KA): Smart Government Governance Transformation, this activity aims to encourage the use of AI technology in improving governance efficiency and the quality of public services for the Indonesian people.

Through this workshop, the leaders of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture are equipped with a strategic understanding of the application of AI in the data-based decision-making process (data-driven decision) and the formulation of precision policy.

"The discussion (related to AI) is no longer about whether we adopt it or not. The discussion is how we can adopt it quickly, effectively, efficiently, and productively," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno.

As a technology partner of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Microsoft has a role in supporting the strengthening of public leadership in the AI era through Microsoft Elevate, a company program that encourages increased cross-sector AI skills, including governance, education, and non-profit.

Collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture is an important extension of this initiative, focusing on how AI can play an enabler for smarter, adaptive, and community-oriented governance.

"The ability of state apparatus to understand and use AI responsibly can determine Indonesia's success in creating an adaptive and inclusive government," said Dharma Simorangkir, President Director of Microsoft Indonesia.

Dharma emphasized that this initiative shows how technology can be used not only to increase internal efficiency, but also to produce policies and services that have a more impact on society.

This collaboration between the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Microsoft, and BINAR is one of the concrete steps in supporting the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045 through strengthening digital leadership and increasing the capacity of public officials in the AI era.

"Microsoft is committed to continuing to support the inclusive digital and AI transformation in Indonesia and realizing the country's vision as a global leader in an AI-based economy," he said.
