Samsung October 2025 Update Fixes 26 Security Problems In Galaxy S24

JAKARTA - Samsung began rolling out Android security updates October 2025 for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, starting from Thailand and will expand globally. This 455MB update includes 26 security improvements 14 from Google and 12 from Samsung which handles high priority vulnerabilities without adding any new features.

This update was first launched in Thailand, but spread rapidly around the world. By the time you read this, it's likely that an update will start being available on your device. The update size is around 455MB, at least in Thailand.

What is fixed in this update? This update brings improvements to 14 security vulnerabilities in the Android operating system. Everything is categorized as a high priority, although none are characterized as critical, low, or moderate.

In addition to improvements from Google for Android OS, Samsung added 12 improvements themselves, as usual when releasing security patches. So, there are a total of 26 security improvements in this update.

There is no new feature in this update; it all focuses on improving security, based on information currently known. Updates are released in stages, so you need to be patient to reach your area.

Your phone will notify when the update is ready, but you can also check it manually. Just go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install.

The Galaxy S24 series will receive some new security updates before the One UI 8.5 release. The update is expected to debut in January alongside the Galaxy S26 series. It is not yet known how long Samsung will push it into the Galaxy S24 series. However, you could expect it in the first half of 2026, perhaps even in the first quarter.
