Wife Twice Absent From Divorce Trial, Bedu Continues To Evidence Stage
JAKARTA The Bedu comedian divorce process continues to roll out at the South Jakarta Religious Court. At the second trial held today, the wife, Irma Kartika, as the respondent, was again absent without giving any information to the court.
Irma's absence made the mediation agenda which should have been canceled. Bedu's attorney, Dendy Finsa, explained that the trial immediately continued to the next stage in accordance with legal provisions.
"Today it turns out that the summons yesterday was deemed appropriate by the court. The respondent is not present, so the petition improvement will be completed. Later on the 28th trial of evidence and witnesses," said Dendy Finsa at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Tuesday, October 14.

Even though Irma has been absent twice, the court has not yet decided on verstek (the decision without the presence of the respondent). The court still provides one more opportunity for Irma to attend the next trial.
"Later on the 28th, if the respondent is present, mediation steps will be taken. But if he is still not present, the next agenda is evidence and witnesses," explained Dendy.
The next trial is scheduled for October 28, 2025, with the agenda of proving and presenting witnesses from the Bedu side.
