US Revokes Visa 6 Foreigners Due To Comments On Charlie Kirk's Murder

JAKARTA - The United States government revoked the visas of 6 foreign nationals caught making comments on social media deemed "celebrating" the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

"The United States does not have any obligation to welcome foreigners who expect the death of an American citizen," the US State Department said via social media X on Tuesday, October 14.

The US Department of Foreign Affairs stated that "foreigners who take advantage of American hospitality while celebrating the killing of our citizens will be removed".

The identities of the six foreigners were not announced, but each of them is known to come from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay, and South Africa.

In their post on social media X, the US Department of Foreign Affairs shared screenshots of the foreign national's comments and stated that their visa had been canceled.

The announcement was made after US President Donald Trump awarded the Freedom Medal posthumously to Charlie Kirk, whom he calls "American great hero" and "martir for freedom".

Charlie Kirk was shot dead on September 10 during a dialogue with students at Utah Valley University in Orem City, 64 kilometers south of Salt Lake City, the state capital of Utah.

The suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson (22), was immediately arrested after the incident and is currently still being held.
