Shopee Releases AMAN Book, Strengthens Public Literacy On Online Fraud
JAKARTA - Shopee Indonesia together with Cybercreation and the Ministry of Communication and Digital released the Shopee Safe Book (Anticipation of Fraud Mode in the name of Shopee), to educate users of e-commerce platforms to avoid fraud.
The launch of the Shopee AMAN Book was motivated by the rise of online fraud in Indonesia. Data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) states that, from November 2024 to September 2025, the amount of financial losses caused by digital fraud reached Rp6.1 trillion.
In addition, report data from Global Anti-Scam Alliance noted that 66% of Indonesians have been targeted for attempted fraud in the last 12 months, such as phishing, vacancies for fake jobs, to fraud on behalf of certain institutions.
"This is not a small number. So it needs contributions from various parties to really increase public awareness about digital crimes which are increasingly creative day by day," said Shopee Indonesia Head of Corporate Affairs, Satrya Pinandita at the launch of the Shopee AMAN Book Wednesday, October 15 in Jakarta.
Dito also mentioned that there are at least three frauds that are often found, and the main thing is fraud on behalf of Shopee, then fraud in which victims are asked to provide personal data such as OTP, as well as transaction requests outside the application.

Through the Check Facts' feature, during the first semester of 2025, Shopee has succeeded in helping more than 250,000 users from fraud. Shopee's AMAN book can now be accessed and downloaded easily via the Shopee Xtra Aman portal page and will continue to be updated along with the increasingly varied types of fraud.
"The government really appreciates the issuance of this Shopee AMAN Book. This book is in line with the digital literacy pillar that we are encouraging, thus becoming a positive step in strengthening public education in the digital realm," added Rizki Ameliah, Head of the BPSDM Digital Literacy Development Center of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.
