PIK 2 Owned By Conglomerate Aguan Officially Removed From PSN

JAKARTA - The Pantai Indah Kapuk or PIK 2 Tropical Coastland development project belonging to conglomerate Sugianto Kusuma alias Aguan was officially removed from the list of national strategic projects (PSN) in the era of President Prabowo Subianto's administration.

The removal of the project from the PSN list as stated in the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 16 of 2025 which is the Eighth Amendment to the Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Number 7 of 2021 concerning Amendments to the National Strategic Project List.

The Permenko Number 16 of 2025 itself was officially stipulated on September 24, 2025. In the regulation, the Tropical Coastland PIK 2 Project was declared removed.

It is known that the Tropical Coastland PIK 2 project was initially included in the PSN list for the tourism sector in serial number 226 as regulated in Permenko Number 12 of 2024 which was set on October 9, 2024 or in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) leadership.

However, in Permenko No. 16/2025 there was a description of the project in the serial number which was deleted. In fact, in serial number 226 previously, there was a PIK 2 Tropical Coastland project located in Banten Province.

"Deleted," reads a written note as quoted from Permenko No. 16/2025, Wednesday, October 15.

For your information, Aguan's PIK 2 Tropical Concept project was included in the PSN list in the era of President Jokowi's Administration.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the development of a green-based area with an area of about 1,756 hectares (ha) was called "Tropical Coastland" and was intended as a new green tourism destination to increase attractiveness for tourists.

"The project with an investment value of around IDR 65 trillion is expected to absorb 6,235 direct workers and 13,550 workers as a multiplier effect," said Airlangga in an official statement, Sunday, March 24.

The tourism destination is also designed to accommodate the Mangrove Tourism Area, which is a natural coastal security mechanism.

Moreover, the PIK 2 area will later be connected to the Kamal' Teluknaga 'Rajeg Toll Road which will be worked on in 2023.

Over time, Aguan's project apparently had a number of problems. This was revealed by the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid.
