Facebook Removes ICE Agent's Doxing Group At US Department Of Justice's Request
JAKARTA - Facebook has removed a large group used to disseminate personal information (doxing) and target United States Immigration and Customs (ICE) agents in the Chicago area.
In his statement on X, US Attorney General Pamela Bondi said that the action was part of an effort to protect federal officials from threats sourced from cyberspace.
"Today, after communication from @thejusticedept (US Justice Department), Facebook has removed a large group used to disseminate personal information (doxing) and target @ICEgov agents (US Immigration and Customs) in Chicago," Bondi said.

Bondi said the wave of violence against ICE was driven by online applications and social media campaigns designed to harm ICE officers just because they were carrying out their duties.
He stressed that the US Department of Justice will continue to cooperate with the technology company, to close the groups used by radical groups in carrying out their actions.

This move is part of President Donald Trump's government's policy of tightening protection against immigration law enforcement agencies amid growing political tensions over US border policies.
