Through GeNose Test At Kalideres-Pulogebang Terminal, DKI Transportation Agency Finds 46 Reactive Homecomers

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency and joint officers found a number of residents who were suspected of traveling back and forth, then reactive COVID-19 based on the GeNose test at Kalideres and Pulogebang Terminals.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that during the prohibition period for going home from 6-17 May 2021, there were 46 people who were reactive after being examined by the GeNose examination method out of a total of 5,051 people tested.

"The results of our examinations until May 17 yesterday totaled 5,051 passengers, 46 of whom were positive through the GeNose test," said Syafrin when contacted in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.

Of the dozens of travelers who are indicated to have had exposure to this outbreak, three of them are travelers who entered Jakarta on the backflow of Lebaran this year.

The rest are travelers who left Jakarta. Those who are reactive to the GeNose version are then followed up with a PCR examination. "In principle, we test all passengers," he said.

Meanwhile, the latest one, said Syafrin, was at the Pulogebang Terminal, four COVID-19 reactive passengers were found after an antigen rapid test was carried out this Tuesday.

The four passengers consist of one arrival passenger from Kudus, one passenger from Purwokerto, one passenger going to Padang and one passenger planning to go to Pekalongan.

"The four people are being quarantined temporarily by the Pulogebang Terminal," said Syafrin.

Syafrin said that all of the travelers who returned to Jakarta were tested for COVID-19 at the terminal. This differs from the border inspection method at the entrance and exit of Jakarta for private vehicle users who are only tested randomly.

"All passengers who disembark at Pulogebang Terminal, Kampung Rambutan, Kalideres, and Tanjung Priok, all passengers who disembark there are immediately subjected to a 'rapid test' of antigen and GeNose," he said.

He emphasized that if an AKAP bus is found in a GeNose version of a reactive passenger, all passengers on the bus will also be checked even though they have brought a COVID-19 free letter.

"If one of the passengers on a reactive or postal bus passes positive results from the GeNose test, we will test all the passengers there, even though they bring negative rapid test results," he said.
