Spotify Will Present Video Podcasts To Netflix Streaming Services
JAKARTA Spotify is now more than just streaming music thanks to its latest collaboration with Netflix. The two companies partnered in presenting popular podcast videos into the Netflix app.
Through this partnership, Spotify wants to bring popular podcast videos such as Spotify Studios and The Ringer to Netflix. This show will be available starting early next year in the US, then expanded to more markets.
Spotify wants to reach a new audience by distributing content from creators widely. This podcast will also be present in several categories, including sports, culture, lifestyle, and real crime.
Some of the events that will be available are the Bill Simmons Podcast and The Ringer NBA Show from the sports category. For lifestyles, there will be shows like The Dave Chang Show and Recipe Club. Meanwhile, criminal discussions will come through Conspiracy Theories and Serial Killers.
Netflix sees this partnership as a new way to entertain its customers. Lauren Smith, VP of Netflix's Content License and Programming Strategy, also welcomes cooperation in expanding this content.

Smith added that this choice of curated video podcasts will bring 'fresh voices and a new perspective to Netflix'. This is believed to make Netflix's entertainment lineup more attractive than ever to subscribers.
Meanwhile, for Spotify, this move reflects the evolution of podcasts from pure audio to a multiformat landscape. Roman Wasenm\"uller, VP and Head of Podcasts Spotify, stressing the importance of this partnership. He believes that this collaboration will expand podcast-related discoveries.
