KPK Investigate Antam Internal Audit, Former President Director Arie Prabowo Examined
JAKARTA The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate cases of alleged corruption in cooperation in the management of metal anodes between PT Aneka Tambang (Persero), Tbk. and PT Loco Montrado. The KPK revealed that the former President Director of PT Antam, Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo (APA), had carried out an internal audit related to the alleged fraud in the cooperation process.
The KPK spokesman, Budi Prasetyo, said that investigators investigated this internal check when examining Arie Prabowo on Tuesday, October 7.
"As we all know, APA witnesses also (had served) as President Director at PT Antam. This means that of course there are steps that are also taken, after they are found or there are allegations of fraud related to audits or internal investigations carried out there," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday (14/10).
Budi added that investigators were also investigating the initial process of finding fraud by PT Loco Montrado. "How are the initial processes," he said.

PT Loco Montrado Becomes A Corporate Suspect
In this case, the anti-corruption commission has named PT Loco Montrado (PT LCM) as a corporate suspect. The company is suspected of profiting from the metal anode processing cooperation.
"When the examination is related to the corporation, it means that investigators are exploring what the corporate roles carried out by PT LCM are like. This includes the benefits obtained by PT LCM in a corporate manner, in terms of entities, not individuals or individuals," explained Budi.
Previously, the KPK had named two individual suspects, namely Siman Bahar and Dodi Marbeli (DM) as General Manager of the PT Antam Processing Unit. Dodi Marnius has been sentenced to 6.5 years in prison. Meanwhile, the status of the suspect Siman Bahar had died after winning the pretrial lawsuit, but the KPK again named him a suspect for the second time.
