Google Meet Adds AI Makeup Feature For Those Of You Who Are Not Ready To Appear On Camera
JAKARTA - Google Meet is now here with an interesting update for users who often have to attend virtual meetings suddenly but haven't had time to dress up. Starting October 8, Google officially launched an AI-based makeup feature (Artificial Intelligence) that allows users to appear neater and more confident live from the camera.
This latest feature expands the ability of a 'touch-up' tool that previously could only smooth the skin and improve lighting. Now, users can choose from 12 virtual makeup views that include natural to more creative and striking styles. Starting from foundation, lipstick, to other makeup effects will follow facial movements in real-time even when you are drinking coffee.
Google mentions that this AI system automatically adapts makeup to the shape and features of each user's face, so that it looks more natural and unlike using regular filters.

This feature is available on the web and mobile version of Google Meet, and has been released in stages since October 8. The launch process will be completed in about two weeks.
This AI makeup feature is available to the following users:
Workspace Business Standard & Plus
Enterprise Starter, Standard, And Plus
Education Plus
Teaching and Learning add-on
Enterprise Essentials
Google One and Individual Workspace Paid Users
This AI makeup feature is not active by default. Users can activate it before or during the meeting. Interestingly, the selected makeup display will be saved and will be used automatically at the next meeting.
So, make sure you change your makeup style if you previously used a striking look while chatting casually so you don't get carried into an important meeting with your superiors.
