Israel Still Closes Gaza's Rafah Border, Aid To Palestine Will Be Reduced

JAKARTA - The Rafah border between Gaza and Egypt will remain closed until Wednesday. The flow of aid to the Palestinian territories is said by Israeli officials to be reduced.

This decision was taken after the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, did not hand over the bodies of the hostages they detained as part of a new US-brokered ceasefire agreement.

As reported by Reuters, Tuesday, October 14, Israeli officials did not specify how long the closure would take.

Hamas previously indicated the search for the bodies of a number of hostages who died may take longer, as not all burial sites in the midst of Gaza's debris are known.
