After Torturing And Killing 2 TNI Soldiers In Papua, The Perpetrator Also Took The SS2 Assault Rifle Away
JAKARTA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri said that the pursuit of the perpetrators of the torture who killed two members of Infantry Battalion 432 is still being carried out in the vicinity of Dekai, Yahukimo Regency.
Apart from killing 2 TNI members, the perpetrators also took away firearms and ammunition from the victims.
"Two members of the Kostrad 432 Airborne Infantry Battalion who were victims of persecution, namely Prada Ardiyudi (21) and Praka Alifnur Angkotasan (28)," said Chief of Police Mathius, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 18.
He stated, from the report submitted by the Yahukimo Police Chief, it was revealed that the perpetrators were around 20 people. They came to attack and persecute the victim who was securing the construction of a talut at the river or river Brasa (not Braga, ed), Dekai.
The firearms belonging to the victims that were taken away were the SS2 type (assault rifle) and the magazine.
Until now, it is not known which group carried out the persecution and confiscation of firearms.
Commander of Korem (Danrem) 172 / PWY Jayapura Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan previously confirmed that two soldiers of Yonif Linud 432 Kostrad died after being tortured by an unknown person (OTK) in Dekai, Yahukimo, Papua.
"It is true that there was an incident of persecution that killed two members of Kostrad Infantry Battalion 432 who were members of the Security Task Force for Prone Areas (Pamrahwan)," said Danrem 172 / PWY TNI Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan in Jayapura, Tuesday, May 18.
He explained that from the reports received, it was revealed that the two members had experienced the security of the talut construction in Braga River, Dekai.
The two members who became victims, namely Prada Ardiyudi (21) and Praka Alifnur Angkotasan (28).
The persecution experienced by the two victims occurred while securing the construction of the Talut of Kali Braga, Izak said, adding that suddenly around 20 people came attacking with various types of sharp weapons until both died from their wounds.
