Complete Defense For The Indonesian National Team, Jordi Amat And Rizky Ridho Are Not Certain To Be Lowered When Persija Vs Persebaya
JAKARTA - Jordi Amat and Rizky Ridho have finished defending the Indonesian national team despite failing to advance to the 2026 World Cup. Now both of them are back as pillars of Persija Jakarta's back line.
Even so, both of them were not certain to be taken down when they visited Persebaya Surabaya headquarters.
The agenda is the eighth week of the Super League 2025/2026 match which will be held at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, on Saturday, October 18, 2025. However, Rizky Ridho and Jordi Amat are not certain to be fielded.
The reason is that physical conditions after a long journey and fatigue after the international match against the Indonesian national team in Saudi Arabia.
Persija Jakarta president, Mohamad Prapanca, said that the coaching team would first conduct a thorough evaluation of Ridho and Jordi Amat's fitness before deciding whether the two were ready to go down to face Persebaya.

"Later, Jordi and Ridho will return home, we will see first what their position is like. Can they immediately play against Persebaya or need time off," Prapanca said in an official statement quoted on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
Prapanca also emphasized that to ensure the condition of the two, the Persija team of doctors will conduct further examinations before providing recommendations to coach Mauricio Souza.
"That will be considered by the coach. They must be checked by a doctor first, whether it is fit or not," he said.
Ridho and Jordi Amat are considered to have an important role in the back line of Persija's main squad even though the coach has a final decision regarding their decline in the field.
"If they are fit, maybe we give them a special break first. After that they can play because they are already with the team," said Prapanca.
The match against Persebaya Surabaya will be a tough test for Persija. Apart from the rivalry factor, this match is also important to break the negative trend that is being faced by the team.
