This Is The Memuka Vision Iconic Concept Car From Mercedes-Benz, A Combination Of Design Art Deco And Advanced Technology
JAKARTA Mercedes-Benz has again shown why its name is synonymous with misery and innovation. Through Vision Iconic, which was introduced today, this Stuttgart manufacturer is not just showing off the concept car, but presenting a moving work of art a combination of the legacy of classic luxury and the sophistication of future technology.
The car is designed not only to captivate the eye, but also to define a new direction for the era of electric and digital vehicles.
Vision Iconic embodies our vision for the future of mobility. With innovative innovations such as neuromorphic computing, cable-based steering system, solar paint, and Level 4 high-level automatic driving, as well as cutting-edge technology, we set new standards for the electric and digital era. This beautiful vehicle is a testament to our commitment to realizing future mobility today," said Mercedes-Benz Group CTO Markus Schwefer, quoted in the manufacturer's media space, Tuesday, October 14.
Design: Harmoni Between The Past And The Future
Vision Iconic was born from the inspiration of the golden era of the 1930s, when the design became a form of elegant expression. Art Deco's touch is present in every curve of its body that flows smoothly and proportionally, as if it caressed with the artist's hand.
The head of the Mercedes-Benz Group AG designer, Gorden Wagener, called it a masterpiece of automotive beauty as well as a statement for the future.
The feature that caught the most attention was the reinterpretation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz radiator grip. Now appearing with a wide chrome frame, a glassy lattice structure, as well as integrated contour lighting that presents a futuristic impression without losing its classic identity. In fact, the Mercedes star on the engine hood is also illuminated, becoming a symbol of luxury that is now shining in the digital era.
Interior: Lounge Luxury Bernuansa Hyper Analogue
Once entering the cabin, conventional nuances soon disappeared. Vision Iconic turns the interior of the car into a classy casual room like a lounge on wheels. The philosophy of the design of hyper-analogue meets digital luxury is felt in every detail.
The front seat merged into a dark blue wide bench, providing a sense of calm and luxury. In front of the driver, there is a transparent glass structure called Zeppelin, where analog and digital instruments combine harmoniously. The wide-screen panel of the pillar-to-pillar blends smoothly with the dashboard, creating a futuristic appearance that remains warm.
True luxury comes through a stratified floor of straw marquetry styled by the classic fan Art Deco, combined with a mother-of-pearl on the door and back panels of the dashboard. Each grip of the polished yellow doors emits an elegant aura typical of Mercedes where the touch of human hands is still felt even though technology dominates.

Technology: Future Driving
Vision Iconic is not only charming in terms of aesthetics. It became a symbol of the Mercedes-Benz transformation towards electric and autonomous mobility with visionary technology.
The Level 4 highly automated driving system allows drivers to completely relinquish control on the highway, can rest, sleep short, or enjoy digital entertainment in an immersive lighting and audio atmosphere. Level 4 automatic parking features are also present, functioning in almost all scenarios without depending on external infrastructure.
Steer-by-wire technology replaces mechanical connections between steering wheel and front wheels. As a result, maneuvers become more subtle, parking is easier, and interior design is more flexible. When the autonomous system is active, the driver's sitting position can be made more relaxed without disturbing control.
Mercedes-Benz utilizes neuromorphic computing, a technology that mimics how the human brain works to process data efficiently. This system is able to reduce energy consumption for data processing by up to 90 percent compared to conventional AI systems.
With this capability, Vision Iconic can recognize objects faster, react more agilely, and remain reliable in difficult conditions of light or weather. An important step towards electric cars that are not only smart, but also aware of the environment.
Solar Paint: Charging From Light
Mercedes-Benz also adds an innovative layer called Solar Paint or solar paint. The body surface of the car can produce energy from sunlight without using rare earth metal material or silicon. With an efficiency of up to 20 percent, an area of 11 square meters is able to provide enough energy to cover up to 12,000 km per year in ideal conditions.
This technology not only extends its reach but also reinforces Mercedes-Benz's commitment to sustainability through artistic and functional designs.
