Komdigi And OJK Block More Than 23 Thousand Accounts Used For Online Gambling
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) have blocked 23,929 accounts used for online gambling transaction activities.
Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid explained that the blocked accounts were the result of cyber patrols and public reports received by the Ministry of Communication and Trade.
"We want to ensure that the flow of funds from illegal activities such as online gambling is completely cut off," Meutya said in her official broadcast Tuesday, October 14.
He emphasized that this step is part of the government's commitment through cross-ministerial/institutional collaboration to eradicate online gambling which is very detrimental to the community.
However, Meutya also asked the public to actively participate in reporting online gambling sites and accounts as well as accounts indicated to be used for online gambling through available complaint channels.
"We invite the public to continue to participate in reporting suspicious sites, accounts, or activities," added Meutya.

The Ministry of Communication and Industry provides various complaint services that can be used by the public, including complaint.id to complain about the content indicated online gambling and checking.id to report accounts used for online gambling transactions.
Meanwhile, based on data from content complaints, until October 12, Komdigi has succeeded in blocking around 7,216,280 online gambling content in Indonesia.
