GAC Aion I60 Toyota BZ3X Twins Launched At The End Of The Year, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - GAC will launch Aion i60 a sister crossover from bZ3X which will launch in March this year. The model will come in two choices of powertrains, namely Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Tuesday, October 14, this compact Aion i60 crossover will enter China's domestic market at an initial price of around 100,000 yuan or around Rp233 million.

Furthermore, regarding GAC Aion i60, this car shares the same modular architecture as bZ3X. The platform also supports GAC Aion V, which was launched in Europe at the IAA Mobility 2025 in September.

Back to Aion i60, its relationship with the Toyota branded SUV is visible with the naked eye. These models have similar features, including greenhouses, glass lines, doors, side-view mirrors, sepabor, and other body elements.

GAC Aion i60 can be distinguished from the headlights, bumpers, and rearlight units. It's slightly larger than bZ3X, with a length of 4,685 mm, 1.554 mm wide, 1,660 mm high with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.

This vehicle uses 18 or 19 inches of wheel with an Aion i60 sidewalk weight of up to 1,910 kg, while the gross weight is 2,350 kg. As well as offering five passengers.

GAC Aion i60 all-electric has a single electric motor feature that produces 165 kW (221 hp). The highest speed reaches 160 km/hour. It was revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Chinese Information Technology that Aion i60 will be available with the PHEV powertrain.

This variant (PHEV) adopts a naturally-doped ICE of 1.5 liters for 74 kW (101 hp) and an e-motor for 165 kW. This boasts the 29,165 kWh LFP battery for a 160 km electric range under CLTC conditions.

Later GAC Aion i60 will enter the domestic market in November 2025. This model has applied for a sales license this month. Is it entering Indonesia? considering that Aion has also launched several models in the country including Aion V.
