Sigi Regent Affirms Verification Of Home Assistance Must Be Transparent And Right On Target
SIGI - Sigi Regency Government, Central Sulawesi, emphasized that the verification process for recipients of permanent housing and housing assistance (huntap) for the community will be carried out in a transparent and strict manner so that assistance is right on target.
Sigi Regent Moh Rizal Intjenae said the Housing and Settlement Areas Service (Disperkim) was asked to immediately go to the field this week to verify the public data for prospective beneficiaries.
"I have conveyed to the Sigi Housing and Settlement Area Office to carry out transparent verification of the recipients of the aid. Starting today they must go down," said Rizal in Bora Village, Antara, Tuesday, October 14.
He emphasized that the housing assistance program this time was not related to the rehabilitation and reconstruction after the earthquake and tsunami 2018 disaster. This program is focused on residents who have never received housing assistance or stimulant funds before.
"This program is an effort by the local government so that people who have not been touched with rehabilitation and reconstruction assistance can be accommodated," he said.
According to Rizal, Disperkim will examine every data and public report to ensure that assistance is given to residents who are truly entitled.
"This assistance must be right on target, given to people whose houses are heavily damaged or lost due to disasters, not just distributing houses," he said.
He added that the program was the result of collaboration between the Sigi Regency Government and the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government. In addition, Disperkim is also asked to actively conduct socialization in each village so that the public understands the criteria for beneficiaries.
"Our desire is only to help people who have yet to receive huntap assistance or stimulant funds," he said.
