DKI Ensures Construction Of Dukuh Atas Donut Ring Bridge Without APBD

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government will build pedestrian decks, namely a ring donut-shaped bridge in Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta. This bridge is part of the development of transit-oriented development (TOD) areas.

Special Staff to the Governor of DKI Jakarta for Development and City Planning, Nirwono Yoga ensured that the construction of the bridge connecting the 4 public transportation services did not use the APBD.

"Obviously non-APBD. It is impossible to use the APBD, with conditions (cutting transfer funds to Jakarta) like that," Nirwono told reporters, Tuesday, October 14.

Nirwono revealed that the DKI Provincial Government is still mapping where the financing opportunity is to build the Dukuh Atas donut bridge.

One option, PT MRT Jakarta as a BUMD assigned to carry out development will borrow funds from Bank Jakarta. Bank Jakarta is discussed as a regional bank that gets placement of funds from the central government.

"All kinds of sources of financing will be pursued outside the APBD. If it's outside the APBD, yes. But where can sources come from. If you want to donate, you can also donate," said Nirwono.

Currently, MRT is still conducting an initial study of the discourse on the construction of the Dukuh Atas donut bridge. The final design has not yet been determined. However, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets the bridge to be built in early 2026.

"If the construction is definitely at least 1 year and a half or at least. 1 year and a half in June, it means it's only December 2027," explained Nirwono.

Previously, Pramono Anung revealed that this donut bridge would connect the 4 Dukuh Atas quadrants separated by the BKB and Fly Over Sudirman rivers. The modes of transportation that will be connected start from KRL Commuter Line Sudirman, Airport Train, Jakarta MRT, and Jabodebek LRT.

Furthermore, if it has been built, Pramono revealed that the Dukuh Atas donut bridge also makes it easier for people using public transportation to move modes without weather problems.

"It must be very beneficial so that people don't need to rain or leave first and then just enter, but use the donut ring to be able to go anywhere, whether you want to go to the airport train or go home on the KRL and so on," he explained.
