Bulog Gets IDR 5 Trillion Fund Injection To Build 100 Warehouse Units
JAKARTA - Perum Bulog will receive an injection of funds from the government of IDR 5 trillion to build 100 new warehouse units.
President Director of Perum Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said this additional budget was a directive from President Prabowo Subianto which was decided in a limited meeting (ratas).
"So the total budget given by Mr. (Prabowo Subianto), the total is IDR 5 trillion for 100 warehouses," he said at the National Food Agency Office, Monday, October 13.
Rizal said the construction of 100 new warehouse units would be prioritized for areas of food barns, which do not yet have warehouses.
"The 100 warehouses are prioritized to locations for food barns whose districts/cities do not yet have warehouses," he explained.
Even so, Rizal admitted that he could not confirm the exact size or capacity of the warehouse to be built. This is because the construction will take into account production in each region.
"The blocks don't all have to be the same. Because the capacity, the production capacity of each region is different. Some are the area of rice, the size of the rice fields is wide, the corn plantations are also wide, it's different. So the warehouses also adjust to their production capacity," he said.

Dia berharap, saat Bulog mulai menyerap panen raya pertama pada Maret 2026, gudang baru yang dibangun siap digunakan.
“Ke depan harapannya ini bulan Maret (2026), insyaAllah gudang-gudang ini supaya bisa terbangun. Sehingga panen bulan Maret (2026), panen raya Maret sampai dengan Mei nanti itu, itu (gudang) yang baru panen ini bisa masuk ke gudang baru,” kata Rizal.

Rizal said that currently Bulog has 1,555 existing warehouses.
He hopes that when Bulog begins absorbing the first harvest in March 2026, the new warehouses built are ready for use.
"In the future, we hope that this will be March (2026), God willing, these warehouses can be built. So that the harvest in March (2026), the harvest in March to May, will be able to enter the new warehouse," said Rizal.
