DVI East Java Police Has Identified 55 Bodies Of Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School Victims
The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team of the East Java Regional Police (Polda Jatim) has identified 55 bodies of victims of the collapse of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Sidoarjo, out of a total of 67 body bags received.
"The two newest bodies identified were each with postmortem numbers RSDP B041 and RSB B055," said Head of Medicine and Health (Head of Dokkes) of the East Java Regional Police Kombes M. Khusnan Marzuki at Bhayangkara Hospital Surabaya, Monday, October 13, reported by ANTARA.
He explained that the body with postmortem number RSDP B041 was identified through DNA, medical, and ownership properties with antemortem number (AM) 025 as Khafa Ahmad Maulana (15), a resident of Jalan Cendana, Ngawen, Sidayu, Gresik.
Meanwhile, the body with the postmortem number RSB B055 was also identified through DNA, medical, and property fits with AM number 038 as Irham Giffari (16), a resident of Katerungan, Krian, Sidoarjo.
"Until today, a total of 55 victims have been identified. Of the 67 body bags we have received, there are still nine bags that have not been identified," he said.

According to Khusnan, all postmortem examination materials have been sent to the National Police Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes) in Jakarta for further analysis.
"Our hope is that this week everything will be finished, but it depends on the condition of the DNA sample. If it is damaged, it needs to be rotated and re-examined," he said.
Of the remaining nine body bags, there are several body parts.
"Eight antemortem data still do not match the postmortem. Hopefully in the next two to three days it can be identified," he said.
