Mechanics, First Local AI Model That Can Produce Images And Videos From Text

JAKARTA Indonesia now has a generalized Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool that can create images and videos easily. This AI tool developed by AICO Community is named Mechalens.

The concept is similar to Nano Banana Gemini who can create images and Veo 3 or Sora who can make videos by simply entering prompts. This is an important milestone for AI's future in the country.

AICO Community claims that Mechalens is the first Indonesian original AI tool to focus on generative visual creations. That way, this technology can answer local market needs. This AI model can be accessed through its official platform.

Mechalens comes with a modern and intuitive interface (UI) and user experience (UX). There are several features that the model offers such as instant preview and dark mode to increase comfort during editing.

In addition, there is a login system that uses Google OAuth 2.0. This will guarantee a safe login process for its users. Meanwhile, from a technical point of view, Mechalens can produce smooth and realistic videos.

The resulting output reaches a quality of up to 1080p/24FPS. This tool also offers video ratio flexibility 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, to 21:9 so that it is ideal for various video platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Not only adopting Text-to-Video capabilities, Mechalens also supports Image-to-Video which can be operated with SeeDance Pro and SeeDance Lite models. In addition, there are batch generation and seed control features to produce a lot of content without compromising quality.

To test his abilities, Mechalens recently held the competition 'This is my Hero'. The AI challenge video competition to celebrate 80 Years of Indonesian Independence was attended by 57 participants.

There are three creators who won in raising the story of their version of the hero. The three winners were Rendy Lawinata, Dika Karan, and Rizal Purnama Nugraha. Rendy stated that his video results looked neat with the right expression and camera movement.

Meanwhile, Rizal considers that Mechalens has the potential to compete with the quality of foreign AI, both in terms of performance and final results. This is a big improvement for the work of the nation's children.

"(Using Mechanics) is like having a working partner who never complains. Simple, easy to use, but the result is powerful," Rizal said in a statement on Monday, October 13.
