Hamas Releases List Of 1,900 Palestinians Arrested Will Be Released By Israel
JAKARTA - Hamas on Monday, October 13 published a list containing more than 1,900 Palestinian prisoners claimed to be released by Israel. The release was part of a ceasefire agreement which also included the release of 20 Israeli hostages still alive by Hamas.
Citing AP, the International Committee of the Red Cross is expected to oversee the release.
The ceasefire agreement, which took effect from Friday, October 10 at noon local time, aims to end Israel's deadliest and most destructive military invasion in Gaza and other Palestinian territories.
The war between Hamas and Israel began on October 7, 2023. As a result of the Israeli military's land and air to Gaza as many as 67,000 Palestinians were declared dead, based on data from local health officials.
