Governor Pramono Targets Work On Donut Dukuh Atas Bridge In 2026

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government will build a donor-shaped bridge in Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta, as part of the development of transit-oriented development (TOD) areas.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has assigned the DKI Jakarta blood-owned enterprise (BUMD) to build the circular pedestrian deck. Pramono targets the donut bridge to be completed in 2026.

"I ask that it can start immediately so that in 2026 it can be resolved," Pramono told reporters, Monday, October 13.

Later, this donut bridge will connect the 4 Dukuh Atas quadrants separated by the BKB and Fly Over Sudirman rivers. Transportation modes that will be connected start from KRL Commuter Line Sudirman, Airport Train, Jakarta MRT, and Jabodebek LRT.

"If that happens, then the integration of modes, be it LRT, KRL, MRT, as well as airport trains, will be handled, including Transjakarta," said Pramono.

Furthermore, if it has been built, Pramono revealed that the Dukuh Atas donut bridge also makes it easier for people using public transportation to move modes without weather problems.

"It must be very beneficial so that people don't need to rain or leave first and then just enter, but use the donut ring to be able to go anywhere, whether you want to go to the airport train or go home on the KRL and so on," he explained.

Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, revealed that Pramono had thought about the discourse of the donut bridge because he saw that the integration system for public transportation services in the Dukuh Atas area was not optimal.

"As soon as he sees such a good area, the Governor asks for complete integration in the four quadrants of the Dukuh Atas area. MRT will cooperate for financing and so on," explained Syafrin.

"Then why is it circular? Because this is indeed to integrate the four quadrants. And Dukuh Atas is symmetric. So the shape of the donuts became ideal," he continued.
