Chery Sales Rise Drastically, Hybrid Model Becomes Backbone

JAKARTA PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) closed in August with impressive sales records. Based on data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Chery managed to distribute 2,105 units wholesales, soaring sharply compared to the previous two months which were only in the range of one thousand units.

Head of Brand & Marketing Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan, revealed that currently, the sales of Chery are still strongly supported by the Tiggo Cross model, especially the Tiggo Cross CSH variant, which is increasingly in demand by consumers.

"Our current sale is still dominated by the Tiggo Cross, especially the CSH version," said Rifkie when met at the recent Tiggo 9 CSH media drive activity.

Chery launched the gas stationary version of the Tiggo Cross at the beginning of the year, before introducing Tiggo Cross CSH with full hybrid technology at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Since then, demand for hybrid variants has continued to increase rapidly.

Tiggo Cross CSH comes as a modern SUV that combines efficiency and performance. With an impressive fuel consumption of up to 30.3 km/liter, a silent cabin, and an ANCAP five-star safety certification, this car is capable of traveling more than 1,000 kilometers in one full charge.

Not only relying on Super Hybrid Chery technology, this SUV is also equipped with 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features and up to 7 airbags, making it one of the best safety systems models in its class.

"In total, Tiggo Cross's contribution to the total sales of Chery has reached 50 percent. Of that figure, more than 80 percent comes from the CSH variant," explained Rifkie.

Behind its performance, Tiggo Cross CSH relies on the sixth generation ACTECO G4G15B hybrid engine which combines a 97 PS-powered 1,498 cc gasoline engine and 120 Nm torque with an electric motor capable of generating power up to 204 PS and a 310 Nm peak torque.

For the Indonesian market, the Chery Tiggo Cross CSH Hybrid is offered at a competitive price of IDR 299.9 million for the Comfort variant and IDR 319.8 million for the Premium variant.
