Purbaya Reveals Himbara Bank Begins To Distribute Government Funds

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive emphasized that the distribution of government funds at the Himbara bank (State-Owned Bank Association) process has gone well and there are even some who ask for additional funds because they are able to distribute it.

"It's good, the banks are already speeding. I think there are some who ask for more. So they are able to distribute. They should be able to make a profit. Because the market has a smaller capital. In general, the credit will be bigger," he told the media crew, on the 79th CUKAI BEA Day, Monday, October 13.

He added that the placement of government funds in Himbara banks has so far been effective and has not caused problems in terms of fiscal policy.

"There is no fiscal policy, there is no change at all, the budget has not changed, only cash management, no problem and before I move it, I have also checked with the Legal Bureau here. The Director General of Treasurer yes. It's okay, he said. So there is no problem," he said.

Purbaya emphasized that the placement of government funds in Himbara bank aims to encourage the economy and also ensure that this policy does not violate the law.

"There is no (violation to the law), because it has also been carried out in 2008, 2009, 2021 in May if I'm not mistaken," he said.
