Support MBG, TNI AD Participates In Military Food Management Training In Singapore

JAKARTA - In ensuring the success of its implementation, various parties have played a role in strengthening the system of providing nutritious food, including the Indonesian Army (TNI AD).

As part of these efforts, cooperation with other countries such as Singapore, which has a modern and efficient military food management system, is an important step in enriching knowledge and increasing the standard implementation of the MBG program in the country.

The Indonesian Army sent 34 personnel to participate in the Instituteal Food Management Training or Unstitutional Food Management Training at the Army Combat Service Support Command (CSSCOM), Singapore, on October 13 -18, 2025.

This training aims to study the military food management system in Singapore as part of its support for the implementation of the MBG program in Indonesia.

"The various materials and information obtained from the training will later be applied to the success of the MBG program launched by President Prabowo Subianto," said Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General TNI Wahyu Yudhayana in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday.

This training is a real step for the TNI AD in building a nutritious food supply system that is safe, efficient, and sustainable. After returning to Indonesia, the participants will become cadres of coaches who are tasked with disseminating the knowledge and experience obtained so that the benefits can be felt widely in their respective units.

The group of participants consisted of 26 TNI AD soldiers, four members of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, three military assistants, and one observer.

This activity is a follow-up to a meeting between the Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak and the Singapore Kasad in July 2025, which opened up opportunities for strategic cooperation in the field of food security and strengthening the MBG program. The collaboration was later formalized through a training offer letter from the Army Attache Republic of Singapore on August 6, 2025.

In this training, participants will study the management of the provision of nutritious food in military institutions with international standards, ranging from menu planning, kitchen management, food safety, to food distribution.

Materials focused on four main pillars: food preparation, food safety, food nutrition, and food technology, as well as accompanied by visits to military and commercial food processing facilities in Singapore.

The training program is divided into two levels, namely Masterclass for Middle Officers (Pamen) and Qualification Training for First Officers and NCOs.

In addition, participants will also make industrial visits to the SATS Catering Center and SATS Innovation Hub to explore the latest technology and innovation in the presentation of nutritious food.

Kadispenad emphasized that this training was part of the TNI AD's efforts to support the welfare of soldiers and their families, as well as a form of real contribution in supporting the government to build a healthy and productive generation of Indonesia.

After the training ends, participants are required to explain the results of their learning, draw up technical guidelines (how-to guides), and implement an institutional food management system within the Indonesian Army's Nutrition Program Organizing Unit (SPPG).
