Instagram New View Test, Reels And DM Now Main Focus
JAKARTA - Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced that Instagram is starting to test a new layout that places Reels and direct messages (DM) as the main feature in its app.
Through a post on his Threads account, Mosseri explained, this change is designed to adapt the application to user behavior, which now interacts more via Reels and DM.
Starting today, you'll see an option to try a new Instagram tab. The first tab is still Stories and Feeds, Reels is the second tab, DM is now the third tab, and you can now shift between tabs," Mosseri said.
Mosseri realizes that a change in interface like this takes time to adapt. Therefore, Instagram provides an option for users to try a new version earlier before the new display is fully released.
We are compiling an application based on what people use the most. If you decide to participate, let me know your opinion," he continued.

Dalam versi baru ini, Reels kini berada di tab kedua, sementara DM (pesan langsung) dipindahkan ke bar bawah sebagai tab ketiga. Pengguna juga bisa menggeser layar untuk berpindah antartab seperti Feed, Reels, dan DM.
Sedangkan di bagian atas aplikasi masih menampilkan logo Instagram dan Stories seperti biasa, namun ikon DM di pojok kanan dihapus dan dipindahkan di tab bawah.

In this new version, Reels is now in the second tab, while DM (direct message) is moved to the bottom bar as the third tab. Users can also shift screens to move between routes such as Feed, Reels, and DM.
While at the top of the application still displays the Instagram logo and Stories as usual, the DM icon in the right corner is deleted and moved to the bottom tab.
