BHMS Implements Robotic Surgery Technology In Breast Cancer Surgery

JAKARTA - PT Bundamedik Tbk (BMHS) through the Bunda Jakarta General Hospital recorded a new milestone in the medical world with the success of carrying out the first Robotic Skin Sharing Mastectomy operation in Indonesia.

This procedure uses high-precision robotic surgery technology to remove breast cancer tissue at least invasively, while maintaining the patient's natural anatomy.

Using robotic hands capable of 360 degrees, high-definition 3D cameras, as well as systems reduce tremors for action stability, allowing doctors to perform surgery with maximum precision.

The incision is only 35 millimeters in size, so patients experience milder surgical trauma, lower risk of complications, and faster recovery than conventional methods.

"A robotic surgery technology allows for more precision and safety surgery, with better aesthetic results," said Oncology Surgery Specialist at RSU Bunda Jakarta, Reza Musmarliansyah in a statement.

In terms of reconstruction, robotic technology helps create natural results. Where this technology retains anatomy and reshapes the breasts at the same time.

The success of the Bunda Hospital in Jakarta shows how robotic technology and medical digitization are the main drivers of the transformation of modern health services in Indonesia.

Through sustainable investment in robotic surgery and AI-assisted care, BMHS hopes that this innovation can accelerate the modernization of the national health system.
