Sport Station Warehouse At MOI Kelapa Gading Burns, Mandiri Extinguishing Failed

JAKARTA - Mall Of Indonesia (MOI) located on Jalan Boulevard Barat Raya, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta, was hit by a fire on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 00.21 WIB in the morning.

"The object on fire is a sports station warehouse at Mall Of Indonesia. The fire was extinguished at 03.06 WIB," said one of the firefighters in his statement.

The fire was extinguished after the fire was extinguished by 14 fire engines with 60 personnel. Meanwhile, the burned area is 60 square meters. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

"The fire started around (Saturday 11 October) at 23.00 WIB, smoke appeared from near the decathlon," he said.

Then after 23.30 WIB, it was seen that smoke was getting thicker. Then the security team went on patrol to monitor the situation.

It turned out that security found a hotspot and tried to extinguish it independently, but the effort failed. Security then reported to the North Jakarta firefighters.

At around 00.21 WIB, firefighters arrived at the scene and made efforts to extinguish the fire.

Kelapa Gading Police Chief Kompol Seto Handoko confirmed the fire. According to him, there were no casualties in the fire incident.

"The case is being handled by the Kelapa Gading Police," he said briefly.
