JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta has again changed its operating hours after the Eid al-Fitr 1442 holiday ends. From now on, the operational schedule is back to the same as during the PPKM micro period.
Plt. The Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta, Ahmad Pratomo, said that operational hours on weekdays, from Monday to Friday, start at 05.00 WIB until 23.00 WIB. Previously, the operational hours of the MRT on Eid holidays were until 21.00 WIB.
Meanwhile, the MRT train operating schedule on Saturdays and Sundays or holidays starts from 06.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.
"The operational time of the Jakarta MRT is determined based on the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency Number 157 of 2021 concerning the Extension of Transport Capacity Limitation and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities in Micro-Based PPKM," Ahmad said in his statement, Tuesday, May 18.
Then, the time interval between trains (headway) on weekdays runs every five minutes for rush hour. Busy hours apply from 07.00-09.00 WIB and 17.00-19.00 WIB.
"Headway outside of peak hours, weekends or weekends, and holidays every 10 minutes," said Ahmad.
MRT Jakarta limits the number of users to a maximum of 70 people per train. After the National Holidays and Eid Al-Fitr leave in 2021, it was recorded that on Monday, 17 May 2021, 31,368 passengers traveled using the Jakarta MRT.
This number has increased compared to Idul Fitri, May 13 and 14, 2021, with a total of 25,521 passengers.
