Case Of Former Bank Employee In Bali Tilapia Rp1 Billion For Online Gambling, Kejari Search Cooperatives

BADUNG - The investigating team of the Badung State Prosecutor's Office (Kejari), Bali, ransacked the cooperative in Tibubeneng Village. The search related to the corruption case of bank employees collected Rp1 billion for online gambling and living necessities.

The search was carried out in relation to the development of this corruption allegation. The search was led by the Head of the Special Crimes Section, Dewa Arya Lanang Raharja along with several investigating prosecutors.

"That is as the investigation warrant was issued on February 26, 2021," said Head of the Badung District Attorney I Ketut Maha Agung in a written statement, Tuesday, May 18.

From the results of the search, 1 bundle of debt repayment files on behalf of Ida Bagus Gede Subamia and I Ketut Sumertayasa was confiscated. Rp 237,420,200 cash from the head of the cooperative was also confiscated.

"The confiscated object will then be used as evidence for examination and trial in the case concerned," said Maha Agung.

As previously reported, the Badung Prosecutor's Office in Bali named a man with the initials IBGS (33), an employee of a state-owned bank in Kuta as a suspect in early March 2021.

This suspect is also in charge of taking care of credit. The suspect allegedly claimed that the Rakyar Business Credit (KUR) fund was around Rp1 billion.

The money was used by the suspect for online gambling and daily necessities. The suspect was sculpting company money using a specific name as the mode of granting credit.
