Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Is Now Cheaper And More Irritated By Fuel Consumption

Hyundai officially introduced Sonata Hybrid 2026, an environmentally friendly sedan that now comes at a more affordable price and better fuel efficiency. This step is a manufacturer's strategy from South Korea to expand the attractiveness of hybrid cars in the global market, including the possibility to the Asian market.

Hyundai adds to the Hybrid Blue variant, the trim entry-level which is the most efficient choice in the Sonata Hybrid ranks. This variant is priced from 29,050 US dollars or around Rp478.5 million. This price is cheaper than the previous model which opened in the range of 31,250 US dollars, or around Rp514 million.

The Sonata 2026 hybrid engine still relies on a unit of 2.0 liters of four cylinders combined with an electric motorbike, producing a combined power of 192 hp. Hyundai claims its fuel efficiency has increased to 20 km/liters in urban areas, 23.8 km/l on toll roads, and 21.7 km/l for combination, reported by Carscoops, Saturday, October 11.

This figure is slightly higher than the SEL and Limited Hybrid variants which previously recorded 18.7 km/liter, 21.7 km/liter, and 20 km/liter. Featurely, the Blue variant is based on the SE model, but has been equipped with increased comfort such as a two-zone automatic air conditioning system, a middle shiftr, and a series of Hyundai SmartSense active safety features.

The feature includes Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, to Lane Keeping Assist. The presence of this new variant reinforces Hyundai's focus on presenting efficient vehicles without sacrificing comfort or competitive prices.
