Minister Trenggono Targets KNMP Development In 65 Locations For The First Phase Of Rampung January 2026

JAKARTA - Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono targets the construction of the Red and White Fisherman Village (KNMP) in the first 65 phase locations to be completed in December-January 2026.

This was confirmed by Trenggono when met at the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Friday, October 10.

"December-January, hopefully it will be completed (the construction of the first phase of the KNMP)," said Trenggono.

When confirmed how many KNMPs have been built to date, Trenggono could not provide further information. According to him, currently, his party is building KNMP in the first 65 locations.

"Now we have just started in 65 (first-stage locations) throughout Indonesia," he concluded.

Previously, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) officially set 65 locations for the first phase for the construction of KNMP out of a total target of 100 locations this year.

The location determination is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Number 55 of 2025 which was signed on September 3, 2025.

Staf Ahli Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Bidang Ekonomi, Sosial dan Budaya sekaligus Ketua Tim Pembangunan Kampung Nelayan Merah Putih Trian Yunanda mengatakan, pembangunan tahap pertama ditargetkan selesai dalam kurun waktu 3,5 bulan. Sehingga, seluruh sarana dan prasarana (sarpras) produksi rampung pada Desember 2025.

"Telah ditetapkan 65 lokasi untuk tahap pertama dari 100 lokasi yang Insyaallah kami akan bangun dalam kurang lebih 3,5 bulan dari hari ini. Mudah-mudahan nanti per 2 Desember 2025, (sebanyak) 65 lokasi ini sudah selesai dilaksanakan lengkap sarana prasarana produksinya," ujar Trian dalam konferensi pers di Jakarta, Senin, 15 September.

Selain 65 lokasi tahap awal, pemerintah juga menyiapkan pembangunan tahap kedua untuk 35 lokasi tambahan.

Proses penganggarannya sedang diajukan melalui mekanisme Anggaran Biaya Tambahan (ABT) dengan rencana pelaksanaan mulai akhir Oktober ini.

Expert Staff to the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries for Economic, Social and Cultural Affairs as well as Head of the Red and White Fishing Village Development Team Trian Yunanda said the construction of the first phase is targeted to be completed within 3.5 months. Thus, all production facilities and infrastructure (sarpras) will be completed in December 2025.

"65 locations have been determined for the first phase out of 100 locations, God willing, we will build it in approximately 3.5 months from today. Hopefully later as of December 2, 2025, (as many as) 65 locations have been completed complete production infrastructure," Trian said at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

In addition to the initial 65 locations, the government is also preparing the construction of the second phase for 35 additional locations.

The budgeting process is being submitted through the Additional Fee Budget (ABT) mechanism with the implementation plan starting at the end of October.
