Alluding To The US Departing From The Paris Agreement, Bahlil Makes Sure Prabowo Steps On The Gas
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has again offended the United States who left the Paris Agreement.
Bahlil said that currently global conditions in geopolitical and geoeconomic terms are indeed in uncertain conditions. In other parts of the country, war and military aggression still occur, thus attracting attention from the commitment to reduce emissions.
"At the same time, there are many inconsistencies in countries in maintaining commitments, especially the Paris Agreement on reducing emissions and energy transitions," said Bahlil, Friday, October 10.
Bahlil said, there are several countries that are initiators and makers of roadmaps towards new and renewable energy starting to lose enthusiasm
"But there is also enthusiasm that has started to emerge. Because they know very well about the comparative advantages of each country," he explained.
He also again satirized the United States, which one of the countries initiated for the Paris Agreement which chose to leave the Paris agreement.
This can be seen from President Donald Trump's speech at the 80th United Nations General Assembly which is no longer paying attention to climate issues.
"Yesterday, if we saw the President of America in his speech at the United Nations, I was a bit hesitant about the continuation of the energy transition," he continued.

"President Prabowo under the government will now be consistent in continuing the transition to new and renewable energy and energy," said Bahlil.
