Megadeth Starts The Career Final Round With Single Full Tensoring Point
JAKARTA - After announcing the plan to retire from the music stage, Megadeth finally presented the opening single for his last era. The newly released gahar song is titled "Tipping Point."
Megadeth first sparked fans' curiosity last week. Through the official social media account, a music video clip was uploaded showing a skull that seemed to be torn apart.
Then earlier this week, the California, US thrash metal band again leaked through artwork focused on Vic Rattlehead, their iconic mascot.
Now, Megadeth has released the song in its entirety. "Tipping Point" presents a classic riff thrash combined with Dave Mustaine's signature roar. In lyric, this song seems to surf between personal and political issues a pattern that is already attached to Megadeth's journey.
Mustaine as vocalist and frontman of Megadeth explained that the idea of this song was inspired by the limits of human ability to withstand pressure.
"We all have different critical points', and it can vary from day to day," Mustaine said, quoted by Revolver, Friday, October 10.
"I think we are all pushed to the edge of the current ravine, and it's easy to get carried away in that feeling. However, the important thing is not to let things knock us down," he continued.

As previously known, Mustaine has announced that the upcoming album is Megadeth's last album. The latest confirmation states that this closing album will be released as a self-titled album on January 23, 2026 under the BLKIIBLK label.
Fans can pre-purchase exclusive vinyl variants of this album, namely limited editions with "Red Orange Ghostly" and "Green Black Kiwi Splatter" colors of only 300 copies each.
Currently, Megadeth is undergoing a series of tours in Europe. They also had time to reveal plans to support the release of this last album with a tour over the next few years.
Furthermore, Mustaine said the decision to end Megadeth was taken when the band was still at the peak of their performance. The 64-year-old vocalist felt the peak moment was the right time to say goodbye.
There are so many musicians who arrive at the end of their careers, whether it's intentional or not. Most of them can't end their careers with their own wishes when they're above, and that's where I am now," Mustaine said.
"I have traveled the world and have millions, even tens of millions of fans, and the hardest part of all of this is to say goodbye to them," he added.
Regarding the unavoidable separation, Mustaine advised: 'Don't be angry, don't be sad, be happy for all of us. Let's celebrate with me for the next few years.'
