Commission II Of The House Of Representatives Ogah Comments On The Addition Of The Deputy Minister Of Home Affairs Seat: Ask The Minister Of State Secretary, If Necessary Ask The President
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Zulfikar Arse Sadikin, declined to comment on the addition of the deputy minister of the interior (Wamendagri) by President Prabowo Subianto. He asked for information about the reasons for the addition, asked the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg), Prasetyo Hadi.
"Don't ask me, at least ask the Minister of State Secretary Or ask the Minister of Home Affairs," said Zulfikar at the DPR building, Jakarta, Thursday, October 9.
Previously, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi revealed that Prabowo had a reason to add deputy ministers, namely to ensure that development and development in each region run well, especially since Indonesia's territory is very wide, consisting of 514 regencies/cities in 38 provinces.
Related to this, Zulfikar was also reluctant to comment on whether the addition of the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs was effective or not.
"I don't comment on that, ask the Minister of State Secretary, ask the Minister of Home Affairs. If necessary, ask the president himself, who knows the President," said the Golkar legislator.
It is known that President Prabowo Subianto added two deputy ministerial positions (wamen) in the Red and White Cabinet. The two newly appointed names are Deputy Minister of Health (Wamenkes) Benjamin Paulus Octavianus and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Komjen Pol (Ret.) Akhmad Wiyagus.
The inauguration of the two deputy ministers was carried out by Prabowo at the Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 8. This inauguration is based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 32/M of 2025 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Deputy Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet for 2024-2029.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi revealed that Prabowo had reasons to add deputy ministers. The position of the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs is added to ensure that development and development in each region run well, especially since the territory of Indonesia is very wide, consisting of 514 districts/cities in 38 provinces.
"Ensuring that development in every region, both our district provinces, can run well and smoothly, so the President feels the need to provide additional strength at the Ministry of Home Affairs by appointing one deputy minister in the country," said Prasetyo.
