Nissan Starts NR15 1.5 L Machine Production For N6 PHEV Sedan
JAKARTA - Nissan has started production of an NR15 1.5 L naturally assisted engine specifically developed to be applied to the Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle model which will be used for the N6 model which is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, October 9 based on information released by the Ministry of Industry and Chinese Information Technology (MIIT), N6 combines 75 kW (101 hp) power NR15 engines with 155 kW (208 hp) electric motors.
This hybrid system is combined with a 21.1 kWh lithium-iron-fosphate (LFP) battery supplied by Rept Battero Energy Co., Ltd., which offers a pure electric range of WLTC levels between 125 km and 130 km, depending on the configuration.
The NR15 engine has been tuned to emphasize efficiency and durability, in line with Nissan's long-standing development focus, including towards environmentally friendly vehicles.
When paired with an electric motor, the hybrid system is designed to operate the engine within its optimal efficiency range in most conditions.
