Geely EX5 Officially Launches In England, Ready To Challenge Hyundai Ioniq 5 And Skode Enyaq
JAKARTA Geely has again shown her ambition to penetrate the global market through the launch of its newest electric crossover, EX5, in the UK. This electric car is sold from 31,990 pounds, or around Rp709 million, and is ready to challenge big names such as Hyundai Ioniq 5 to Skolda Enyaq in the European electric vehicle segment.
Reporting from CarNewsChina, Thursday, October 9, Geely EX5 relies on an electric motor 215 hp with a 60.2 kWh battery, which can cover a distance of up to 430 km in one charge.
Previously, this model was known in China's domestic market as the Galaxy E5, which launched in August 2024. Its sales are also fairly impressive where more than 150,000 units have been sold until August 2025, signaling a warm welcome from local consumers.
For the British market, EX5 comes in three variants: SE, Pro, and Max. The highest variant offers premium features such as 16 Flyme Sound speakers, head-up display, 15.4-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay support, electric baggage doors, to a variety of modern driver assistance systems.
Despite being full of technology, EX5's design still carries Geely's signature minimalist visual language. The appearance is elegant with a hidden door handle, a single strip model back lamp, and a closed front facility with a futuristic sleek main light combined.
