Hamas-Israel Reaches First Stage Agreement, Qatar: Details To Be Announced Later

JAKARTA - A spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry Majed Al Ansari announced that the Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel had agreed on a first phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.

This announcement follows a similar announcement from United States President Donald Trump, when the controversial party delegation continued indirect peace negotiations.

"The mediators announced that tonight an agreement has been reached on all the terms and mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which will lead to the end of the war, the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, as well as the entry of aid," Al Ansari tweeted on social media X, as quoted October 9.

"The details will be announced later," he added.

The mediators announced that tonight an agreement was reached on all the provisions and implementation mechanisms of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which will lead to ending the war, the release of Israeli hosts and Palestinians, and the entry of Aid ....

As previously reported, US President Donald Trump announced that the militant group Hamas and Israel had approved its "first phase" plan to end the Gaza war.

"I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our Peace Plan... HAPPY WITH THE PEACE BRINGERS!" - President Donald J. Trump," the White House wrote on social media X.

It is known that militant groups Hamas and Israel with US, Egyptian and Qatar mediators continued Gaza's indirect ceasefire negotiations, discussing a 21-point proposal initiated by President Trump, in a meeting held at the Sharm el-Sheikh resort, Egypt since Monday.

This news comes as the death toll and Palestinian injuries from the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip continue to grow.

The latest conflict in the Gaza Strip broke out on October 7, 2023, when a Palestinian militant group led by Hamas attacked Israel's southern region, killing 1,200 people and causing 251 others to be held hostage, according to Israeli calculations.

Israel responded to this by carrying out airstrikes, blockades and land operations in the Gaza Strip. The two sides agreed to a ceasefire and exchange of hostages from January 19 to March 18.

Yesterday, medical sources in Gaza confirmed the death toll from Palestine since the latest conflict broke out had reached 67,183 people, while the injured reached 169,841 people, quoted from WAFA.
