Minister Of Health: MBG Toxic Data Will Be Opened To The Public Via BGN

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that data related to suspected poisoning cases in the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program will be opened to the public through the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Budi said the data had been collected by the Ministry of Health daily through the Puskesmas network throughout Indonesia and had been submitted to BGN for further verification.

"There is already data, we have shared it with BGN. Later, the BGN will issue it," said Budi in the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 8.

He explained that the reports received came from the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in schools, which had been connected to the reporting system at the puskesmas.

"Now we just need to match the SPPG, which SPPG. We got it at the puskesmas, then we have linked it to the school because we screened the SPPG and this is mainly in BGN," he said.

Budi emphasized that the Ministry of Health and BGN are preparing a mechanism so that the data can be accessed transparently by the public.

"Later, we will arrange it together so that it can be opened," he said.

Until mid-September 2025, the Ministry of Health reported at least 60 cases with 5,207 patients from the MBG menu poisoning incident.

Meanwhile, BPOM recorded 55 cases with 5,320 patients. West Java is the province with the most cases of MBG poisoning.
