Nine Athletes Get PB Djarum 2025 Badminton Scholarships
JAKARTA Nine athletes have successfully won the 2025 Badminton Scholarship Djarum, which automatically ensures they are officially new residents of the PB Djarum club.
The PB Djarum general audition series has officially ended. In this year's edition, there were 1,729 participants from 33 provinces who participated in winning entrance tickets for the club.
Athletes who are confirmed to receive scholarships come from various regions in Indonesia, such as Sorong, Balikpapan, Samarinda, Manado, and Bantul.
The new residents of the club based in Kudus consisted of one male U-11 athlete, two female U-11 athletes, two male age group (KU) athletes, one female KU-11 athlete, two male KU-12 athletes, and one female KU-12 athlete.
The Djarum Foundation Sports Service Director Program and PB Djarum Chair, Yoppy Rosimin, requested that those who get scholarships need to improve their abilities to become national athletes.

"Keep the fire of your enthusiasm because this is the starting point for pursuing a career as a badminton athlete with various achievements," said Yoppy.
To be able to get scholarship tickets, these names have to go through a long struggle, starting from the screening round, tournaments, to the quarantine stage for more than three weeks.
They had to go through various strict and complex assessments from the talent search team and the ranks of PB Djarum coaches. The assessment includes physical tests, individual abilities, character and daily life in dormitories, as well as additional medical tests in the selection of the second quarantine phase.
In the first phase of quarantine, there were 28 athletes out of 50 participants who won Super Tickets. Then the second phase of quarantine screened the nine athletes above.
The head of the PB Djarum 2025 public audition talent team, Sigit Budiarto, emphasized that the athletes who managed to qualify were those who were able to fulfill the strict assessment set by the talent search team.
"We see that today's badminton competition is getting fiercer. However, we have to prepare the best athletes with super quality," said Sigit.
The 1997 world champion also advised young athletes who had just joined PB Djarum to continue to hone their potential and ability to be able to continue the relay of Indonesia's badminton glory.
He said that PB Djarum's General Audition was not just a competition for superior seeds, but also a symbol of perseverance, self-provenness, as well as a gateway to the world stage.
"We want these younger siblings to maintain the spirit of champions. Don't be complacent because the road to the peak of achievement is still long," said Sigit.
