TANGERANG - The MotoGP event has its own appeal for lovers of one of the most popular sports in the world. Motor racing, which is followed by various countries, is able to become a magnet for lovers, connoisseurs and spectators to be present at the circuit to watch riders compete on motorbikes on track racing professionally.

One of the lovers of the MotoGP racing motorcycle event who was also present witnessed the riders at the Mandalika Circuit on Sunday, October 5, 2025, namely SMK student Budi Luhur, Ciledug, Tangerang City named Hilal Anargya Prasetyo majoring in XI class TV Broadcast.

The student, who is usually called Argy, left for Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Friday, October 3 morning. The representative student from SMK Budi Luhur will carry out a number of activities such as shootings, making video content and interviews about the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit.

Before watching MotoGP, he made visits to several tourist destinations such as Sade Village, Kuta Mandalika Beach, Selong Belanak Beach on the first day on this Thousand Mosque Island.

On the second day, Argy visited a number of tourist destinations, one of which was Gili Trawangan to do water sports activities to explore underwater beauty without having to dive.

On the third day in Lombok, he made several preparations before leaving for the Mandalika Circuit, namely, checking the readiness of camera equipment and preparing a number of questions for audience interviews and asking questions to the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Director Priandhi Satria via a short message WhatsApp (WA).

Before the MotoGP event started, Argy conducted an interview with the audience.

"We have been in Lombok for two days. We visited a number of tourist attractions and ate the delicious Lombok food," said Igen from Muntilan, Central Java when interviewed, Sunday, October 5.

Asked about the results of the MotoGP competition in Mandalika, "Marc Marquez will be the winner today," said Igen.

Meanwhile, Sigit, a MotoGP audience from Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, added that the incident experienced by Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecki was because he was already the MotoGP world champion, so Marc went through this competition without a burden so he made carelessness which resulted in an incident.

"Mandalika, especially Lombok, is widely known abroad thanks to the MotoGP event," said Sigit.

Separately, the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Director, Priandhi Satria, added that the 2025 Indonesian MotoGP event in Mandalika was running as a big and dramatic spectacle. The main race (race) resulted in unexpected moments such as young racer Fermin Aldeguer winning the race impressively.

"Large incidents also occurred on the opening lap between Marc M Wayhrquez and Marco Bezzecchi which injured Mryptequez in the spine and had to undergo further examination," explained Priandhi.

However, said Priandhi, the atmosphere on the circuit was very lively with cheers, podium euphoria, and the enthusiasm of the audience felt strong all weekend.

"The competition produces many on-track dramas ( rookie victories, major accidents, and acts of overtake) so that it becomes a satisfying presentation for the public and the media," he explained.

On the safety and medical response side of the event, he explained, the MGPA and the medical team seemed quick to respond after the incident, and then the issue of MChrquez's injury became an international concern, this shows the readiness of circuit medical services while at the same time reminding the importance of improving safety protocols.

Asked about the number of spectators who attended the MotoGP, Priandhi explained that the total audience was 140,324 during the series of event days (35 October 2025). This figure is reported as a record/breaking record for the MotoGP in Mandalika.

When compared to the previous year's figure, 2025 showed an increase of 140,324 spectators in 2025, up from 121,252 viewers in 2024. Compared to the 2023 edition (which was reported in the range of 103,000), the increase was even greater.

"In other words, the trend of audiences in Mandalika in 2025 is increasing or growing compared to previous editions," said Priandhi again.

Priandhi said that in order to make the 2025 MotoGP Indonesia event a success, his party had made various preparations for supporting facilities such as facilities and safety.

"Increases and track checks continue to be carried out to reduce the dust problem and ensure the grip and intensive test of circuit readiness before the event," said Priandhi.

In addition, the training intensification of medical teams, marshals, and safety teams according to FIM standards, MGPA published medical and simulated training programs to ensure a quick response to accidents.

In terms of logistics and accommodation management, MGPA also coordinates with Bizam Airport (Zainuddin Abdul Madjid), ports, local lodging, and transportation for the arrival of teams, cargo, and spectators.

"The logistics system is designed for the flow of motorbike arrivals, team parts, and racing equipment to be efficient. The previous report emphasized intensive preparation of logistics and cargo arrivals," he said.

"MGPA and tourism stakeholders (ITDC, local governments) also involve the hotel and travel sector for integrated accommodation packages," said Priandhi again.

Then in terms of Promotion, MGPA as the organizer of the event made ticket sales through the official channel (P MotoGP ticketing platform and local partners), including VIP packages (MotoGP VIP Village, paddock/garage experience and so on).

"There are intense promotional efforts at home and abroad to attract international tourists," explained Priandhi.

Priandhi said that at the beginning of preparation, it was reported that ticket sales were not yet massive (the report stated that around 30% were sold at a certain stage), so that MGPA and related parties boosted local and national promotions ahead of the event, but in the end tickets were sold out or filled to a record audience figure.

Then in terms of technology and information security, "For large-scale events, BSSN (Siber Agency) support is reported to help with cybersecurity aspects during events, part of MGPA's readiness to maintain digital services, ticket sales, and communications," he explained.

Priandhi said, overall, the MGPA strategy combines race-grade operations, guest/visor services, and promotions so that events can run successfully and bring in large audiences.

Asked about the number of transactions during the 2025 MotoGP, Priandhi has not been able to provide more details. "We are still calculating, if we look at the increase in the number of viewers, the transaction value will definitely exceed last year's 2024 MotoGP," he explained.

Priandhi also explained that early-stage ticket sales were slow. One of the challenges at the start of preparation was the slow sale of tickets in the first three months. As of mid-August 2025, tickets were sold for about 30%.

This is influenced by several factors, including the schedule of events adjacent to other racing calendars, as well as the economic conditions of the community after the long holiday.

"MGPA then collaborated with the Ministry of Tourism and several motorsport influencers to increase digital campaigns and tourism promotions, until finally all tickets were sold out ahead of the race week," said Priandhi.

Regarding infrastructure, added Priandhi, his party will carry out several continuous improvements and maintenance of infrastructure, several areas that are the focus of regular improvement/purification including:

1. Surface trajectories (asphalt/line repair & anti-dust treatment) treatment and surface smoothing to increase grip and reduce dust.2. Drainage and waterways. Ensure efficient drainage so that events are not disrupted by rain/wetting.3. Grandstand and spectator facilities such as armchair care, VIP area, accessibility, toilets, and F&B facilities to improve audience experience.4. Pit lane, paddock, and garage team improving technical facilities to meet the standard MotoGP factory team.5. Road access and connectivity (by-pass, airport access) such as road repair, signalage, transport linkage for vehicle and logistics flows.6. Medical and emergency response facilities such as increased medical equipment, evacuation coordination, and routine emergency simulations.7. IT & communication systems (including cybersecurity) such as digital infrastructure maintenance, ticket sales systems, communication networks, and BSSN support during events.

"The Mandalika Circuit is a long-term project that requires sustainable maintenance and improvement in order to meet the expectations of international events and FIM/Dorna standards," said Priandhi.

In the future, added Priandhi that for 2026, based on official information, Mandalika will remain in the 2026 MotoGP calendar, meaning that Mandalika will certainly host again in the 2026 season.

"This means that spectators, tourism stakeholders, and investors can hope that Mandalika will continue to host MotoGP at least the following season, while negotiations/long-term extensions continue between related parties, in this case ITDC and Dorna," concluded Priandhi.
