TASIKMALAYA - Tasikmalaya Resort Police arrested a husband who abused his wife until she was seriously injured in Taraju District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java because she was annoyed and jealous of the victims who often played on social media (social media).
"The motive is jealousy, the victim likes to play Tiktok, there are many who are tempted. Well, he was annoyed and then it was his wife," said KBO Tasikmalaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit Ipda Agus Yusuf Suryana as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 8
He said cases of domestic violence (KDRT) were still found and now the case is due to the jealousy of the husband with the initials IN (28) against his wife AN (27) who often plays Tiktok social media, and is often teased by his social media friends.
The perpetrator, said Agus, abused his wife in Ciasta Village, Pageralam Village, Taraju District on September 29, 2025, which caused the victim to suffer cuts due to sharp objects in several parts of the body.
Agus conveyed that the suspect's confession was not only a problem, he often played Tiktok, but also so far his wife has always asked for divorce, thus making the suspect even more annoyed which led to persecution.
"His wife is asking for a divorce, so she is increasingly convinced that her wife has an affair, because she can't stand it, eventually there will be harsh treatment," he said.
The case is currently being handled by the Tasikmalaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit Child Protection Unit to undergo further legal proceedings
In addition to detaining the suspect, he said, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of cell phones, motorbikes, and folding knives used by the perpetrators to persecute the victim.
