Bahlil Did Not Come At The Initial Session Of The BBM Scarcity Lawsuit At The Central Jakarta District Court

JAKARTA - The inaugural trial sued ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia at the Central Jakarta District Court starting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at around 12.00 WIB. However, the trial lasted briefly and was postponed until next week.

The postponement of the trial was due to the defendant III PT Shell Indonesia, Defendant I of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Defendant II, namely PT Pertamina, who had not prepared a legal standing.

The presiding judge of the trial, Ni Kadek Susantiani, said that his party had written to PT Shell Indonesia to attend the trial, but until 12.00 PT Shell Indonesia did not attend. The trial will continue on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

"For the completeness of the trial, we will do it again next Wednesday. The defendant to be present again I hope it will be complete next week," said Halim Chairman Ni Kadek Susantiani.

Meanwhile, the parties from Defendants I and II are still waiting for the decision of the board of directors and internal communication regarding the issuance of legal standing.

Defendant II had asked that the deadline for legal standing be carried out for two weeks. However, Susantiani rejected the request and determined that the legal standing would be given next Wednesday.

Tati Suryati's attorney, Boyamin Saiman, regretted the defendant's actions. Boyamin considered that they were not serious in responding to the lawsuit filed.

In fact, according to him, this lawsuit was carried out for the benefit of the community who find it difficult to get fuel from private gas stations.

"Hopefully next week we will be present to run the trial soon. I said I didn't expect there to be a trial next Wednesday. Why? If the private gas station is filled tomorrow, or until Tuesday, it means that Wednesday's trial is just a matter of revocation. We represent the interests of the community," Boyamin told reporters, Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Boyamin said the lawsuit represented the interests of the community.

"People want to be able to buy pure oil fuel at private gas stations, both cars and even two-wheeled ojol friends have also consumed it," he said.

So this lawsuit, he continued, is an attempt to force the government and the private sector, of course, to enter Pertamina, it turns out that it is involved to immediately fill private gas stations so that we can buy them.

"We represent the interests of the community," he said.
