Ole Romeny's Current Condition Ahead Of The Indonesia Vs Saudi Arabia National Team

JAKARTA - Ole Romeny became a player who paid quite a attention to his condition ahead of the Indonesian national team match against Saudi Arabia in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in Jeddah, Thursday, October 9, 2025, early morning WIB.

Previously, it was known that Ole had suffered an injury while defending Oxford United in a duel against Arema FC in the 2025 Presidential Cup last July. The injury left Ole Romeny absent from the start of the season.

Ahead of the match against Saudi Arabia, good news came. Ole Romeny has recovered and has been able to fulfill the call of the Indonesian national team. The player was even able to participate in training with his teammates in Saudi Arabia.

This raised hope that Ole Romeny could play from the first minute in a duel against Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the Indonesian national team coach, Patrick Kluivert, also stated that the striker was in good condition.

However, regarding the certainty of appearing, Kluivert will continue to discuss with Ole Romeny and a team of doctors regarding the condition of the player ahead of the match.

"Everyone knows Ole is an important player. He has been absent for a long time and trained hard to come back. Until now, there have been no obstacles."

"However, of course we have to respect the recovery process. He feels good. So, we'll see," Patrick Kuivert said during a press conference before the match, quoted Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Ole Romeny has been a crucial figure since defending the Indonesian national team. He has scored three goals and two of them were scored against China and Bahrain which resulted in six points.

The Indonesian national team currently only need two wins, against Saudi Arabia and Iraq, in order to secure tickets to the 2026 World Cup.
