A Gang Of Motorcycle Thieves Use Fake Plates And STNKs To Labor Expeditionary Service Delivery

Cross-provincial motor vehicle theft syndicates (curanmor) often smuggle dozens of motorbikes from Jakarta to Muaro Bungo, Jambi, using expedition services.

"There is a mode carried out by expedition officers, if the suspect wants to send it, he will prepare a fake STNK and plate," said North Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP James Hutajulu to reporters, Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

In addition to confiscating 43 motorbikes of various brands from 5 suspected motor vehicle theft syndicates (curanmor) across the provinces of Jakarta - Muaro Bungo, Jambi, the police also confiscated fake plates and STNKs.

"There were 60 STNK sheets and number plates confiscated," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the North Jakarta Metro Police confiscated 43 units of motorbikes of various brands that were secured from 5 suspects in a motor vehicle theft syndicate (curanmor) across the province of Jakarta - Muaro Bungo, Jambi.

"We have arrested five collectors in Jakarta and currently their files have been declared complete by the prosecutor and have been transferred to the North Jakarta District Attorney," said North Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief, AKBP James Hutajulu to reporters, Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
