Good News From NTT, 90 Percent Of COVID-19 Patients Have Healed
JAKARTA - As many as 14,722 people or nearly 90 percent of the total 16,358 people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) since the beginning of the March 2020 pandemic were declared cured according to data from the Health, Population and Civil Registration Service.
Secretary of the NTT Province Health, Population and Civil Registration Office David Mandala said that the number of COVID-19 patients who recovered increased by 136 people on Monday, May 17.
Additional recovered patients, according to him, came from East Flores Regency (3), Nagekeo Regency (3), East Sumba Regency (4), Kupang City (12), Ende Regency (14), West Sumba Regency (17), Regency Manggarai (39), and Ngada Regency (44).
David said that currently there are still 1,193 COVID-19 sufferers who are undergoing medical treatment and self-quarantine in NTT.
He also explained that COVID-19 has caused a total of 443 people to die in the NTT region. This was reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.
