5 Motorcycle Collectors Stealing Jakarta - Jambi Network Arrested, 43 Units Confiscated At Jakarta Metro Police
North Jakarta Metro Police confiscated 43 motorbikes of various brands that were secured from 5 suspected motor vehicle theft syndicates (curanmor) across the province of Jakarta - Muaro Bungo, Jambi.
"We have arrested five collectors in Jakarta and currently their files have been declared complete by the prosecutor and have been transferred to the North Jakarta District Attorney," said North Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief, AKBP James Hutajulu to reporters, Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
AKBP James said the five suspects had different roles. The suspect with the initials RS acts as a collector of stolen motorbikes from the main perpetrator or executor who is still a DPO.
Then the perpetrators with the initials R and Z were tasked with sending vehicles obtained from the hospital to the expedition team.
Furthermore, the suspects S and L were expedition officers who played a role in sending the stolen vehicle to the Muaro Bungo area in Jambi Province.
In addition, continued AKBP James, there were two perpetrators with the initials N and J who acted as motorcycle pickers or thieves who were still being searched. The two perpetrators were designated as DPOs.
Then five other suspects who are also on the wanted list are still in the Muaro Bungo area of Jambi Province.

The disclosure of 43 motorbikes confiscated by the theft began with a motorcycle theft case in the Kebon Bawang area, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta on August 5, 2025.
Then the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately conducted an investigation and the results were found the location of the freight forwarding expedition in the East Jakarta area.
Officers visited the expedition site and found the stolen motorized vehicle and four other motorized vehicles ready to be sent to Muaro Bungo.
For his actions, the five suspects were charged with Article 480 of the Criminal Code regarding crimes of detention in conjunction with Article 481 of the Criminal Code because the elements of habit that were carried out repeatedly in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code carries a maximum sentence of four years.
